        Wes, or Five-0, as we call him, has been a mate of mine for many years.  He is a company driver and has been an Amateur for many years.

        I will explain the Five-0 nickname.  Wes, The Black Stump, myself and a few other truck driving hams used to congregate on either 146.800 or 147.050 in Sydney.  I think it was The Black Stump who cottoned Wes' nickname, based on his birthplace - you guessed it, Hawaii!
