I was a victim of Melbourne's wild
weather last Wednesday. The 30 foot mast that holds a UHF verticle and my
40/80 dipole finished drooping down towards the ground and snapped of at a
level above the roofline, with the dipole embedding it self under a roof tile.
I will be doing some modifying of
antennas and I will put the dipole on to the tower.
Until then I will be silent on 40/80. I
notice that Jim VK3AMN had lost his shack when a tree
dropped in for a visit. For a photo have
